What angle does the 3.0 24v sit in the Alfa?

Bit of a strange question but hopefully someone can help.

When I put the engine into the LB In know it sits at an 8 degree angle towards the bulkhead.

How does this compare to the engine when in the Alfa. When the engine is in the Alfa is the sump base dead level, or is it at some small angle?

I was wondering if I need to re-mark the dipstick to take account for any difference?

My plan is to sit the engine at the angle it is in the Alfa, fill oil to the correct level, then when it's in the LB chassis check the level and re-mark the dip stick if needed.

When the engine is in the Alfa is the sump base dead level, or is it at some small angle?

    Mad idea?

    Cheers

If you are worrying about oil pickup, don't. The strainer is right at the bottom of the sump. A degree or two of tilt won't affect the oil supply, just put in the required amount. Occasionally Alfa's drive uphill and downhill without any serious issues.

I don;t think I'll be taking it up or down hills. Too risky
