    Scale Models

So my first love is the TR7,I own one and,................err...............,several models!
Along with a smattering of other Harris Mann(signed) designs and some Triumph Stags and some models of cars I've owned.

The eagle eyed amongst you may spot a Stratos or two in there also.
It looks like I have quite a selection of versions, makers, colours and scales of the Stratos to now collect so who else has a Model Sratos collection?

    These are all 1/18 scale.

And these are various scales 1/64,1/43 and HO

    Re: Scale Models

    Hi Andy
I have a collection of over 300 Stratos models, mainly 1:43 hand built but a few 1:18 and 1:24.... Again mainly rally livery but a few of the race cars... It's all very colourful, being a saddo they are all logged with rally, driver, navigator, result etc etc

Paul Hassall and Ken also have collections so thankfully I am not the only big kid in the club !

    cheers

    Phil

    Re: Scale Models

It is going to be easier(harder more expensive) collecting Stratos' as there are a hell of a lot more of them than ever there are of TR7's and even Stags!
Some of the TR7 versions are so hard to get hold of.....................and expensive! It is only recently that a 1/18 has been produced by that I mean 2017 and 2018.

    Re: Scale Models

My scale model collection is a bit more limited. I had the intention of getting a 1/18th scale model of most of the cars I owned but ended up dropping the idea when some of the models seemed to get silly expensive (remember, I'm Scottish so fairly tight-fisted) so have sort of dropped that idea. I also got a toy model of an Ultima from the factory which I intended to paint like my car but made such a mess of putting it together that it underlined why I didn't make any attempt myself at the real thing.

    Some are crazy prices.
    I would like to collect.
Cars my Dad had in my time.
Cars I've owned in my life.
Then a realistic wish list(i.e Matra Bagheera,Murena etc)

Bagheera? I always fancied one, too!

I finally got my hands on the one I'd always wanted - decided to sell it after a week, it certainly did not meet expectations! Funny how we all seem to share an interest in wedge-shaped cars, though...!

    Re: Scale Models

    Hi,
Got given this old model of a Fulvia... I suspect the model was bought around the time the Fulvia was on sale. :-)

The New Scalextric Stratos, just out.
We've talked about Alitalia livery variations before, but I've never seen this white treatment of the rear louvres on the 10 car. Was that ever done or is it a mistake?
    2 more for my collection 1:64 - 1:1 scale .... getting on for 200...
