MEMBER PROFILE - Turbonutter I am a qualified Marine Engineer & have sailed as Chief Engineer for the last 12 Years. I built my first Stratos Replica back in 1990-91 That was a Litton Corse ‘S’ powered by a Lancia Twin Cam. This was soon upgraded to the now more or less standard Alfa V6, which was tuned & then in 1993 it was turbocharged and ended up with over 400BHP. Unfortunately this car was destroyed by a fire (while I was driving) back in 2001 – The cause of the fire was never really identified. I was without a stratos for a few years, until I purchased Arthurs Corse ‘I’ in 2009. This Car was 8 Years old & I drove it for a couple of years before deciding to rebuild it. Drawing on my experience from the first car I already had an idea of what I wanted to do with the car – It was always going to be another turbo engine, but this time a 3.2 24V one, with a big single turbo with charge cooling instead of inter-cooling. Body work is full group IV with a ducted radiator & painted in Olio Fiat style, with altered logo’s to personalize the car “NS Corse Turbo”. HI- Spec 4 Pot calipers & Discs should give ample stopping power and fit nicely inside the17” Pro Race Wheels. I have always been keen on the Stratos, but never one to try and make an exact copy, being more that happy that the car is my own creation.  The dash is Group IV style, but has been fitted with Stack Instruments & I have even changed the Rear Light for something more modern. Hopefully the Car will be completed sometime this summer (2012).
