Hi again.

Discussing with John Whalley today about the master cut of switch in the car.
Since the ECU also controls a lot of "fire hazzard" ecuipment like the fuelpump, it should be cut off in case of an accident.

But if I also use the cut of switch for extra security when parking, will that have any effect? ECU going into learning mode etc?

So to put it simple: is it best that the ECU always have power or is it "no problem" making it loose it´s power each time you park?

Mine is wired like that. It doesn't appear to cause problems. I believe that the ECU starts re-learning some of its algorithms each time.

I have used various ECU's and always disconnect the battery for the 2-3 months I am at work with no problems.

Thanks a lot guys!

Only thing live then will be the hidden 12 volt outlet ( for battery chargeing purposes ) and the hidden tracker unit that goes into alarm if it looses power.
