That should give me time to get the cooling system cleaned out and the car running...... maybe..... on the other hand. I am due to become a grandfather that weekend, so I could be otherwise engaged!

Well the car is together - just need to get the tax & then I can try the gearbox - I should be there tomorrow - about 11...

Update... Managed 20 miles with no major issues - if you dont count a 3500 rev limit or no boost control as major...

Had a nice catch up with a few people today & the car made it there and back, so looking good for the gearbox installation.

Thanks to Phil for the Coffee and cakes & especially the good weather!

The boost control was working fine as well, in fact even the problem with revving above 3500 went away on the way home, so Had a little play.
1st gear is hopless for a standing start, but 2nd works ok....

Mick, I see Lorraine got fed up of sitting in your Allegro then and opted for an upgrade!

catswhiskers

You cheeky sod John,
The Allegro was in very nice condition though, as was the Anglia. Unfortunately, that's not Lorraine sitting in the 355, it's Helen and she did point out to Phil that he should add one to his collection before too long.:o

Sorry,
I'm miles off the pace as usual...
Looks like you all had a good day. I was working on Frederic's car.
Might pluck up the courage to post some pics soon. I'll ask Frederic if it's OK.
I suppose he might like to see it himself first of course. he's visiting on the 25th.

I wouldn't think he'll mind John, at least he will see that the car actually exists now and is at last being looked after.
