Yes, they're getting really hard to find for sale now, and when they do come up, they're expensive.

Bit of a joke those prices. X19 spares in uk used to be much cheaper , so maybe there running low on spares these days with all the strats being built?. For the money being asked for you could probably get a new set machined from billet!

while i can fully appreciate that the door handles are an integral part of the stratos look, why not use something else?? like series one MX5 door handles for instance? small retro looking and in chrome, i dont think they would be too out of place once installed..... just putting it out there.

Fair enough, definitely more easily available. Personally, it would spoil it for me, every time I got in the car. For me the handles are integral to the look of the Stratos, be they chrome or black versions. If I had to pick an alternative it would be Beta coupe first or Delta second.
