Garage envy indeed. And he says it is too small! Tell him Brent!
RCR is Fran's business isn't it? He was on the old site - I don't think he's made it through to this one has he?

Don''t think so at all ; ok he is doing aneat job but only assembling nicely a "on the shelf" RCR kit ??
You are doing a lot of very nice improvments on yours specially on rear chassis and engine and bearbox arrangement!!! this make your car "Unique":o
Many GT's replicas all around the world but very few nice Stratos!! And you built one
You can be very very proud of your project ..................;)

Dont think your build can in any way be described as average !!!!!

Will you be on the road this year??

The GT40 is certainly an immaculate build.
I'm no engineer, of course, but alarm bells go off for me when I look at stuff like the front wishbone mounts.
Sizeable pivot bolts through the rose joints, but tiny cap head bolts holding the suspension lugs to the aluminium chassis.
Am I missing something??

Tiny cap head bolts?! .... luxury (http://www.seriouswheels.com/pics-2005/2005-Lotus-Sport-Exige-Front-Suspension-Brake-Assembly-1024x768.jpg)!

Not your average Lotus Chris?

No Craig, it's a bit of a low rider?

Regarding what John's saying about small bolts;
I remember looking at Chevron B8s and old single seaters at one Oulton Park Gold Cup meeting.
Nearly all the seat belt harnesses had M8 sized bolts for each anchorage point, and the B8s had no roll cage to speak of.
I suppose 1960s safety was a bit different, but those old old multi riveted monocoque chassis and the like would have the required amount of strength?

Haven't been on this site for a while, what a great build...................the detail and care taken in the build set's a very high standard.
