Anyone who has ever fancied a Dino but never had the funds, well here's your chance. Should clean up with a bit of Tcut and some elbow grease.
Will be interested to see what it makes on the day.
Guess anybody? I'll say £45,000

We've seen it Mick. (thread on this forum (http://www.stratosec.com/Forum/showthread.php/2541-This-could-make-a-grown-man-cry-!?highlight=dino))

I'm guessing £75,000.
It should only be worth what you've suggested, but you know what happens?

They mention the housing market being overheated but what about the classic car market? I remember the crash in the classic and exotic market a fair few years ago, wasn't pretty...

The thing that I find fascinating is that there must be at least two folk with that money as well.....

I think the lower end of the market is not so affected, for example the pricing on Betas is not so different to what it was a few years ago, so I think if/when it happens it will be the guys who have plenty of money who will suffer, unless you have mortgaged the house of course...

Relatively speaking I suppose, but I bought a genuine 19,500 mile one in 2002 for £14k. You'd need all of £25k to get one like that now.

'Seems £45,000 only buys you a 2.0 FIAT Dino Mick? Here:

I've just had a look at prices from July 1990.
Dinos were never into three figures, even then - maybe £90k tops. By comparison, Daytonas were around £225,000.
Interestingly the C and Sportscar issue I looked at has two colour adverts for UK Stratos. One is Roger Perry's blue (you know the one?) advertised at £110,000, and Karl Ludvigsen's Stratos at £105,000. Those would have been big prices at that time. There is also an advert for that yellow Dino engined Hawk at £35,000. Ten years after that, you could pick up a real Stratos for £35,000.

The GT4 is no where near as pretty as the 206/246 but it does have a certain wedgy 70s charm and I think, like the Fiat Dinos - especially the 2400 Spider which is a fantastic car and only 424 made- look undervalued when compared to the £300k Dinos which were more numerous, but I do agree, it has all become a bit silly!
