Yes its a Lister Bell....Probably the only ever kit/replica to be featured in Harrods window!!!!

Maybe the wording in the official Zenith/Harrods release will appear more agreeable? See HERE (http://www.harrods.com/content/the-store/in-store-calendar/zenith-150th-anniversary)
How it has been interpreted/edited by the subsequent external media releases is clearly more open to discussion.

Well whatever, it's quite a compliment to be asked to supply it. It's a great replica!
Clearly the Eric Comas car which Frederic highlighted in his recent thread has better things to do than hang around in a store window.
Looks great. I'll be down there for a wedding at The Langholm before too long. I'll wander round and have a look.

A special commission Craig, or a work in progress that was diverted to the marketing campaign?

It´s a great replica indeed and there is no difference in first look with Comas real one ( here in workshop )
A good marketing promotion for each others!

I was starting to wonder why it was taking so long for a straight forward body fit !

From this........

8280

to this.......

8281

might explain it.......

In a cockney voice reminiscent of Michael Caine.....

'Craig, you were only supposed to fit the bl**dy doors on'

That's just awesome, what great exposure that is. I thought I might have to get a Zenith watch now... Then I saw the prices.

So this thread is not hi-jacked ( no pun intended!)
You can carry on the discussion about lifting points here

The Zenith 'pop-up' shop in Harrods will have exposed the incredible Stratos concept to a group of people who share an interest in watches and motorsport, but had perhaps forgotten about this car, hopefully with benefit to us all. See their breakfast launch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZtR0tHThQI&feature=youtu.be .

As per my 'LB in Sussex' thread, my chassis now has some bodywork (the decals will need removing after the show) but there is still a raft of work (electrics, refit fuel tank, complete suspension set-up etc etc) to get it ready for IVA, which is the next target.

I thought I recognised those tyres when I first saw the photos of the car in Harrods!
Hence my question at post 9.
Nice story to have for the future Mark.
A month or so is not long to add to the build.
Well done.

Hello Mark
why do you have to remove decals ? now your car have some story ( not bad indeed for her value !!)and you could propose to Zenith or eventually Eric comas to have it on more occasion and do a"money deal" ?????
It's not so often that a sponsor have the possibility to have at disposal, moke up of the real car .... Teams are also so embarassed when this sponsor is asking them to borrow the car for some
public or newspaper show !!!!
May be you can ask them to invest on another white complete body for you to go and IVA her , so you can have both !!!! ( And Craig one more bodywork sales ..LOL!!!!!!)

LOL !! do not want to highjack thread but just a quick story ;
When working long years ago for an LeMans team I was tired to find good reasons not to please the sponsor giving them the opportunity to have one of our car for show so I decided to built a fake polyester chassis on the carbon fiber moulds and built up with old used parts ( uprights , whihbones old gear box etc etc) a complete moke up totaly similar to our race cars ..... result when everybody where aware we had a show car, we made a lot of money ( big big lot) in renting this show car every week and every week end, every where in France , Europe etc !!!!
Then one company in Lyon asked us to built 4 more of these moke up to use these in a sort of 1/1simulator ( Still working today!!).... so again lot of money for fake chassis and real copy of our LMP bodywork !!!!!!!!

Apologise for this highjack( closed now!!) but that Zenith story was reminding me this so good "souvenir" LOL

I know my local jaguar dealer John Clelland (ex touring car champ), he had a jaguar race car in the showroom, except on closer inspection it was a liveried bodyshell/interior with some spare suspension bolted on to make it a rolling replica (as long as you didn't open the bonnet - sorry john!) - this went round all the Jaguar dealers as a promotion. So I can see the opportunities!

The photos from the street really show a well put together and tantalising display - well done LB for getting in on the act ! You can see quite a few heads turning too - it's obviously effective !
