Hi

Just joined as purchased I think the number 7 Allora, tried to insert pics of current state. 93869387

Let me know if the picture file size is too big. Forum looks packed of useful information although I probably will have plenty of questions!

Currently also have a Delta Evo 2.

Thanks

James

Welcome to the madhouse!

Is this the "missing" Allora I wonder?

Thanks guys. Don't think it's the missing Allora - it's on the list as ex Tony Aylott and Ian McInnes.

Hoping that it will get finished by next spring, it's got a 12v 3l Alfa engine in it at the min but not running. Kit has never been finished.

Thanks

James

Hi James. Welcome. Another Cheshire Stratos! There is a Corse I under construction in Crewe and I might even be starting my own LB build soon in Winsford.

Believe this was Tony Aylott (and Jan ?)

I think there was one Tony Aylott that drove a Corse, and another Tony Aylott that owned an unfinished Allora kit from new.
The latter sold the Allora kit to Ian McInness, Oban, Scotland.
Is that right?

Good knowledge that - I has contacted Tony Aylott with the Corse as I thought he may have been the previous owner but turns out there are 2 Tony Aylott's who like the Stratos.

Tony and Jan still have their Corse car.

Yes the car has come from Ian McInnes.

Hope to get back to the car in a couple of weeks and take some more photos and work out what parts I'm missing.

Thanks

James

I have one of the two Allora's currently on the road at the moment Tom Ransom has the other, if you have questions
regarding the car, parts source etc please get in touch

Thanks for that David, when it's a bit further on I might be in touch!

couple of quick questions - anyone know the owner of this blue stratos as would like to know the colour and paint code. 9406

And if if I want to get a pre made loom for the Allora - which would be best - Lister Bell or Hawk?

Thanks very much.

James

I've got a feeling it is slightly more 'purple' than the standard Stradale dark blue (the darker of the two blues). Here's a standard dark blue car:

Loom? Lister bell. Their loom will work as expected and has the correct size cabling.

The pic of the McCann car is a bit misleading, that's a pic in sunlight. If you keep looking through Stratos pics, you'll find others of it that look to be darker. CJ's old blue was about the right dark blue.

Quick update - went to see the car today and see what parts are there and what is missing. Got a bit of a list! Couple of pics first.

My favourite so far:

The colour of the tin on the roof is what I'm going for.

9499

Can anybody let me know the best place to source or even if they have spare:

1) Reverse lights
2) Voltmeter
3) Door mirrors

Thanks for the warm welcome, I'll try and make next Sunday kit car meet but may get waylaid with wedding plans!

Thanks guys

You're thinking of going to Stoneleigh on your wedding day!?

Guy Mayers
23-04-2016, 23:14
See you at Stoneleigh - I'll be on the Hawk stand and will have a few spares (including a voltmeter - although I suspect it may be an Ammeter you're looking for).

Here's a reverse light

http://www.ebay.it/itm/FANALE-UNIVERSALE-RETROMARCIA-RENAULT-R4-R5-R6-R16-MONT-PARAURTI-REVERSING-LAMP-/400705838943?hash=item5d4beddf5f:g:~mYAAOxy5rpSSp9F

and the matching foglight if you need it for IVA

http://www.ebay.it/itm/FIAT-1100-1300-1500-131-132-ARGENTA-CAMPAGNOLA-FANALE-RETRONEBBIA-/311198197809?hash=item4874dba831:g:sh0AAOxyaqlSRpvl

Can't help with mirrors though!

Guy

(ps - if you decide you need an Ammeter - come see me - I;ll be on the Hawk stand!)

Thanks Guy. Never thought I'd get a stratos but things have kind of fallen into place. Now rather excited! Quite a jigsaw puzzle though fortunately I won't be building it or it wouldn't see the light of day.

Hope to get there and if you have the ampere gauge that'd be great.

Thanks for for the links, I'll see what I can grab.

Couple more pics:

Welcome in SEC :)

Congrats for your Allora purchased and good luck for your rebuild!

I believe to understand you are also the lucky owner of one Lancia Delta evo!

I have recently purchased one 1989 Delta 16v Gr A prepared with 260 HP...very nice to drive particularly in small mountains roads!

Jamo12t
24-04-2016, 09:23
Thanks Frederic. Proud owner of an evo 2, fairly standard but running around 270 HP which makes it fun on the B roads which it loves.

9502

Hoping the allora will be a nice stable mate for it.

Thanks
