We made the local press too.
Congratulation Mel for this superb use of your car !!!
It's agreat thing you represent the club and the stratos replica world !!!!
Bravissimo !!!!:o
And so nice pics !!! too:cool:
Fantastic Mel.
Look at the faces behind on that photo.
They all love it!
And doesn't this actually tell a bigger story?
What Sreve Ellis always found at an event was that people love seeing these cars and say so all the time. MSA take note.
You want Rallying to be more popular? Give people what they want to see rather than the sad formulaic same old, same old.
Nothing wring with giving out log books to well built cars from enthusiastic competitors doing fantastic PR for the sport.
Even if they are not true 'production' cars.
Oops, there I go again.... Different topic!

So how does our Stratos club get invited to this event then? or do you have to be a member of Rally History, and go via them?
Would any other members here be willing to go apart from Mel and John B?

Yes it was a bit wet ! tyres on yellow rims are road tyres 215 F 335 R just like on ice but great fun having to control 4 wheel drifts on most corners...
Blue rims were Pirelli Corsa P7 great tyres really work well in warm weather.

Thanks John, must say the scheme suits the Hawk and likes the camera (poser).

Almost sorted now, must say Hawks are Built / Designed very well, OK the front corner was demolished (may repair ) the rear clam came off with minor damage due to the hinges letting go rather than ripping out the boot floor. and a bit of bent suspension. Considering the speed we went off it stood up very well.
Everything I needed from Gerry to repair was ready to pick up as soon as I could get there, so no major waiting for bits, which was my main concern. I cannot recommend his after sales highly enough.
Lovely pics and great news Mel!

When it rains, the water on a road causes a loss of friction :D (https://jeepequipment.com/parts/drivetrain/)
