Bad news Craig. You might have to make another!

Its the engine rebuild cost on top of the donor cost that's prohibitive. Even worse if you junk the K-Jetronic system for ITB's.
A 308 GT4 on Carbs is the more "economical" engine option once you get past the donor cost & sodium filled valves.
Or this one perhaps?:

I doubt it John.
These Ferraris needing work are now the only way to ownership for a lot of people.
All Ferrari types have a high value now.
I would predict at least £20k for that one in the auction.
The rough one between £10k and £15k.
Well for sure any Ferrari is worth saving in my book , but Stratos replica values are soaring and for some a Ferrari power plant I guess is very appealing. Look at what some folks are spending on engines for their Strat.

It would be interesting to know the fate of that rough Mondial?
A car like that would have normally had 'breaking for spares' written all over it.
As far as fitting one to a Stratos replica goes, for the equivalent money spent, it's belt and braces refurbished Alfa vs not refurbished Ferrari 308/Mondial. If you can find one.
