Hi Phil,
I don't have one to offer, but EPER lists it as 73500482 for the princely sum of £10.63 inc VAT and claims it is 'orderable'.

Phil
If you do not find I will go on monday to the breaker close to me where I picked up recently 2 wiper motors on Alfa's 156 and if they are still there I could have the part may be
Then will send it to you immediatly
Just drop a message

166 type fits as well.
166 type fits as well.
Hi Chris /Michel....
I have fitted an Alfa 3.0 24v 6 speed to Nellie but I am using the LB cable selector system....the only issue is that the existing clutch slave cylinder bracket will not fit without major rework but apparently the 156 v6 should bolt straight on.... It's me being idle !....thanks for your input... Phil
I've got a spare one, more than happy to post it. My LB gear selector assembly needed a big chunk chopped out of it to fit around the cylinder and bracket properly.

hi Paul...many thanks for the offer !.... That's what I call a long range spare part !..... I have asked Michel if he can get one which is local to him.....thanks again...Phil
Paul... I take it you also have the 166 6 speed box as well so appreciate the problem..
No I've got the 156 6 speed, I would've thought they'd be pretty much the same?

The gearboxes may well be the same...I don't know..... But the slave cylinder mounting on my 166 6 speed won't allow the slave cylinder to be in the correct position to actuate the clutch lever due to fouling the linkage system.... Craig showed me a bracket that was off a 156 that solved the problem...I could carve the existing bracket to make it fit but would look very Heath Robinson if my welding is anything to go by !!...lol
AAh of course, didn't think of them using a different bracket, fairly standard for me...not thinking. Good luck.

To the best of my knowledge the boxes are the same externally apart from the rear diff casing which varies between the 156/GTV platform & the 166 platform due to the position of the rear engine mount.
Internally the 2.5 box has a lower final drive which many prefer in the replicas because it give the stronger acceleration at the expense of a taller cruising gear.
The release arm is the same on both boxes & the boxes are directly interchangeable. The variation being discussed here is the slave cylinder bracket which is definitely different between the 166 & the 156 boxes. The 156 boxes have the solid flywheel & therefore the flywheel & clutch assembly is quite slim so the release arm sits farther round on it pivot to reflect this & the slave then sits more parallel to the centre line of the car. The 166 runs with the dual mass flywheel which creates a much deeper assembly, the release arm then sits farther round on its pivot which means that the slave has to as well hence the fabricated steel bracket found on the 166.
The cast alloy bracket from the 156 does now clear the gear mechanism but Phil's issue will be rotating the release arm on the splined fork shaft to make it realign with the cast alloy bracket as he still has the dual mass flywheel installed.
See HERE (http://newalfaparts.co.uk/clutch-gearbox/2077-slave-cylinder-support-bracket.html) for the required bracket.

as said could you take apic of this bracket Craig showed you and send it of post it so I can be sure to try to source th good part !:o
Hi Michel
Craig has kindly put a link above (Thanks Craig)
So I will order one from there it will not cost much more and save you the time going to the scrap yard
Thanks to everyone for all your efforts
Cheers
Phil
Ok Phil
I was printing the picture to have it at the scrapyard
Yes for that price it's better !!!! post international shipment is crazy and was not sure to have it ( sometime they are not keen to disassemble so small parts ; depend on which bottle of wine you give them ;))
Ok let us know if you solved finally the sourcing

Good to know the 166 part won't work....I'll be using Craig's gear linkage on my project with a 156 box and had planned on using a 166 bracket as I have one. Unless I can mod it of course....
When the new parts get delivered and fitted I will post a photo Chris

Forgot to say, I re-indexed the release arm on my old car to work with a slave that I relocated to sit in a totally different location. Easy enough to carefully cut & file a groove in the master spline in the lever arm so it'll fit in any position you want. Started with a hacksaw then finished it with a triangular file.
I found a bracket from Desira parts, bit cheaper than Autolusso.
