As there is a renewed interest in replica chassis plates, I will now reorder a batch to be made up.
They will come out at £20 each. If you want one please reply here or PM me so I know roughly how many to order.
Cheers Mel

Don't want to be a killjoy, but it's probably worth pointing out that you wouldn't be able to use these plates for U.K. IVA.
For IVA, VIN plate has to have a single box showing manufacturer and chassis number only. It can have other information outside of the box so you could do something similar with a bit of tweaking.
Of course ! NOWHERE those plates could be used ...
It's only for fun Purpose ...I guess...... and what is intelligent to write on; is something like '' Modern Replica N° 2017 ) or watever "smiley "to the past ???????
Or better ; used as a base for the model of the car in your cabinet office !!!!!!

Had my first one engraved "Reprica built by Guy Mayers" but the one attached to the car says "Replica built by Guy Mayers", and the engraver paid for that and did it for free

Similar to the story of how Mitsubishi came up with the name Starion :D

Both of those are excellent ideas, especially as my 1:1 Stradale will be a copy of my 1:18 scale model.
Please can I be on the list for 2 plates (having a spare also means I'm less likely to mess up the first one)
Thanks, Graham

Sorry for the slight off-topic post, but that engraving cock-up just reminded me of a birthday cake that was made years ago by some catering company for my niece, Melanie...it turned up on the day with "MELONY" on the top...her Mum went ballistic :)
Still laugh whenever I think of it, hahaha!

More seriously Guy ; if you want to save it you can easily with apneumatic little spheric grinder cancel that punching or engraving and leave a new clean rectangle for another engraving ????
Originally as you probably know those plates where "punched " with separate big numbers .....

With the price of a plate at £20 it's not worth the time and trouble to attempt a repair on it but thanks for the thoughts!
Put me down for one please Mel.

Any more folks, before I get them made ?
Will be able to collect at AGM for those who are going.
As pointed out earlier they are for fun, you still have to have your chassis no stamped directly on the chassis, (as with any production car) but these can be mounted anywhere on the car. Whatever suits you.

In addition to the chassis number being stamped on the right hand side of the chassis, it is also a requirement for IVA that you have a "real" chassis plate fitted which details the actual manufacturer of the car & the chassis number.
