Hello all hawk builders....
Do any of you have a photo of what the inner wing under the bonnet looks like be for it is fitted and trimmed?
I take it it is pop riveted in place, and then trimmed?
Thanks

Thanks

Hi Griff, could you mail it to me please at webmaster@stratosec.com please.
If anyone else would like to mail what you have I would be grateful.
Thanks
Hi Ian, Griff, I would be interested in seeing the pictures as well, being just at the point where I want to cut some card patterns before cutting the aluminium sheet. My email address is: rotor1@caribsurf.com.
Thanks
Henry

From the two points I've marked, there is the edge of a 90° bend in the alloy.
This part isn't fastened onto any steel box though, as you can see the rivets carry on up the side of the square box.
The panel is in 'free air' between these points.
Older Transformers (Hawks) don't have this detail.
I remember a green Hawk demo chassis that had the front splash panels glued on (no rivets at all).

Here's a photo of the older type front Hawk splash.
The later 'covered in' splash panel needs a hole to be able to remove the long Hawk pedal shaft, if the car has those pedals.

Thanks Chris, Thanks Pim
Thanks Chris, there seem now to be many possible ways to construct these splash guards!:) And I’m sure there are many other solutions!
Enjoying this build!

Hi Henry,
I made some front splash panels for my Honda engined Transformer.
I must have made a pattern. If I did, I don't know where it is? It would be 2004.
