I'm sure you'll have seen this car elsewhere on the forum - I have agreed to market it on behalf of the daughters of the late Alan Cox, founding member of the SEC.

I managed to get a good look at the old girl last night, then popped over to Richard's to see the car :)
As an "independent party" I can say it was actually a lot better than I expected for an old car that's been standing for a while. You'd want to change the cam belt, give it a full service including changing the brake fluid and maybe some new pads (mainly as a peace-of-mind exercise), but it's all straight, nice and shiny, the panel gaps are great and the doors shut well. Seemed to me to be riding a bit high but again, a simple enough thing to sort. A bit of work and you could have y'self a good usable car in no time. After that it's a personal taste exercise - keep the 2-litre motor or go V6, different paint scheme, different interior, etc. etc. etc.
Be surprised if it hangs around longer than a few weeks TBH...also be interesting to see what it fetches, as a good reference point for a car in a regular sale compared to auction prices.
Rich, you seem to be going through a bit of a "Lancia Period" at the mo, what with the Fulvia, Beta coupe and now this....what's next, a cheap Flaminia Zagato?? :)

Yeah, but it's booked up for the next week, along with the handcuffs, whip and stuff in the bottom drawer. I don't know who half of these people are who want to use it! (honest...)
That's the third Fulvia Zagato I've seen stripped out like that - the other two were exactly the same...I think that's how they came from the factory! Are you gonna get it restored or has interest waned a bit? Lovely things though. Remember seeing a 1st Series one every lunchtime in St Helens when I was going back to school for the afternoon, as a kid in the late '60's. "Exotic" didn't cover it...ace!!

Yes, a sale was agreed - the car is going to live in Hong Kong! I will point the new owner in the direction of the club and forum once the car has been collected and shipped.
