Maybe you have heard or readed in last kitcar magazine about this nice and interesting body kit for Alfa 4 C by Boldrin company in Italy, also famous with their 037 replicas

What do you think about it?!
Personally I like pretty much this Alitalia liveried
car!

I like it, but at 30K plus for the donor and guessing 15plus for the kit+paint+wheels etc it's quite pricy.

Im sure it looks and sounds great in the flesh.

It wouldn’t last 5 minutes in France with all the speed bumps. Nor in the Uk thinking about it.

Not my cup of tea thank you!

More like £30k for a 4c, unless you buy a written off one.

Headlight modification is an improvement over the standard 4C (not difficult), but I'm not a fan of the "letter box" opening in the front air dam

I saw this in the latest CKC mag - but I'd sooner have the 4C thanks ....!

As an "in the spirit of..." kit it's quite nice, not to mention clever, but it's gonna be expensive with the price of 4C's being what they are. How much do we think, £40K completed, minimum? I think anyone with that much to spend would want a "proper" Stratos replica (or a used 911 or Cayman or something like that), and actually what's wrong with a 4C as it is (looks-wise)? If it was like those Z3-based 250SWBs where the donor's a few grand and the whole shebang comes in under £20K, maybe, cos it's a bit of a laugh, but basing something like that on a 4C is shooting yourself in the foot.

Now if it was a visually-accurate body-panel swap, THEN you'd be talking....modern mechanicals, carbon tub, no IVA....don't forget to put some money aside to fix the steering and suspension geo issues though!

By the way - is Stephan from Holland reading this string? How is your 4C Lister Bell coming along? I recall Stephan had bought a 4C write-off and was using the engine and transmission in an LB.

Thanks everyone for your comments...for sure it’s probably pricy and certainly much more than a Stratos rep
But I find still interesting this kind of « artwork » around Stratos evocation especially with an Alfa donor car and probably Stephan’s car will be a very interesting build!
At the moment I’m thinking for one Alfa Spider with 3.2 V6 as a daily car for sunny days, sometimes there are nice used one with low mileage for sale...:)

I think both the front end detailing (intake and lower lights) could be made more sympathetic to the original Stratos and likewise with the boot spoiler. This interpretation is very vertical and slab shaped from the rear.

Its an interesting concept and with some more careful styling could have been more akin to the New Stratos but with a much more favourable price tag?

It's ridiculous, what a waste of time and money.

Wow - amazing progress on a very complex project - but looking very compact and accomplished ! Worth following - but the system translations are a bit hit and miss !

Last saturday went to visit Stephan to look at his Startos 4C project. First impression was his workshop, wow ! Stephan has a company called Squadra tuning which is specialized in Chip tuning Alfa Romeo's. First floor was his workshop and to get to his "hobby" space we had to go to the first floor via stairs. His cars go via a big scissor like lift . On the first floor was an Alfa Spider with 2x V6 engines he built many years ago, see this footage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3lLoyrCr8eU
Also a super seven he built and of corse the Lister Bell he is building now with the technique from a Alfa 4C. Really impressive to see the amount of work and knowledge put into this project. I rwally liked it when he switched on the contact, then the car seemed to come alive, without the engine running. It almost looked like a transformer coming to life.
Here are some pictures of Stephans work so far, but the pictures on his blog on facebook tells the complete story :D
Had a discussion with Stephan about getting the car registered here in Holland. He has the same dillema i have with the Lancia 037 i am building. Dutch registration is far more difficult than Englisch so we are still hoping for a delay in Brexit ( sorry guys ) just to get our cars registered in the UK via the IVA procedure. We fear we can not build fast enough though :(
Anyway here are some pictures .
Cheers

I like it. Its such homage to the original. Just goes to reinforce the Stratos is such a timeless design, an ICON of the car world. Gushing over!
