The only steel monocoque I know of would be a gto-tech one. They even re make the hubs and uprights!

Based on the Healey in the background I's agree Chris. It's what he was planning on building when I bought the Hawk kit from him.

I hope there are not people getting interested in this project, thinking it'll be in the normal kit price range.
It's got to be three figures and then some?

It's a little vague as to what's included and there are no pictures of the suspension. I assume that is as per the original car?
Do we know if this is a scratch built, restored or a GTO Tech chassis?
A GTO Tech chassis was 50k Euro last time I heard.

'Project' is probably better than 'kit'.

You'll notice the stiffener on the underside of the front clam? As an original would and should have.

This is a reply to an email sent asking for more info from Phil Hotham

My Stratos is a genuine stratos It was built by Marchesi in Italy for me on the original Jigs and tooling and the fiberglass parts where also produced in Italy .

All the suspension also came from Italy . I have fitted all new AP calipers and discs the brake disc bells I had produced which are correct to the original group 4 cars , tandem stratos pedal box I have a new stratos steering rack , full set of instruments ( gauges ) group 4 dash board , new heater box , blower , full set of Bilstein shocker’s and eibch springs , new gears which are dog gears from Italy , the gearbox is half built , I have drive shafts new CV joints etc.

The Dino engine is stripped which I have a new Arrow crankshaft and conrods , new forged piston set and all the parts

To build the engine . There are all the front to back cooling pipes , radiator , weber carbs and manifold , windscreen etc

There are also all the lights and mounting frames which are all correct

There are loads of new parts which I have collected that I have not listed I think the car is about 96% complete

I also have 2 eibach anti roll bars on order which should be delivered in the next weeks or so .

I also have a Nova and heritage dating certificate documents so it can be registered onto a V5c log book .

With a stratos chassis number on the documents which is 1974 .

I have 196 k in the car as it stands

If its of interest to you a could send you photos of the suspension front and rear hubs etc .

Hope this is a help and thanks for your interest .

Kind regards

Phil

Yes, but not the 'hoop to top rail' tubes.
You'll notice the swaged holes? The sort of thing you see on Miuras and the very first alloy bodied twin wiper car.
