Hi guys, I am need of either a new or very good used Crankshaft Pulley (aux belt) as the one on my donor engine is wobbly and probably about to delaminate!
If anyone has a spare and can help please PM me.
Many thanks.

Hi Guy, thanks for that. I've got that App on my phone. Unfortunately it shows 5 options when you search for part, but all OUT OF STOCK!
Thanks again.

I should have one in the garage, from a 2006 156 2.5v6 one of the late imports.

Stephen, first of all thanks for your reply and presumably that will fit a 1999? Please PM me if you do have one with cost and condition.
Cheers!

Not looking as good as I remember it from sitting outside

Its intact, but rusty.

That one has already started to delaminate. you can see where the rubber is pushing out.

Having seen a few fail now it
appears as though the moisture works its way down between the rubber and the pulley which results in a layer of rust being the only thing which is attaching the outer part to the inner.
Pictures below of one we had which was delaminating. once the outer was cut away you can see that the damper was only held on by approx. 1/3 of the contact area due to the corrosion.

Thanks for looking it out Stephen, much appreciated.
Mine has slightly less rust but symptoms of it starting to delamaminate are there, not least the wear to oil seal carrier!
Hope someone out there that can help?
Cheers!

Since I bought the new engine I may have one available on my old donor. I haven't inspected it closely and I'm away on holiday for a fortnight.
If no one else comes up trumps in the meantime I'll have a look for you as soon as I'm home.

Thanks for the above Leigh. Unfortunately this is one of the 1st places I started. They quote 4 different options for the 2.5L including this Lucas one, but when you try to add to basket they all show as "Temporarily Unavailable" and to ring customer services. They are just not available for this engine.
Cheers!

If you can't source one locally I'm happy to post you one of my spares, always garaged. Ideally they should be balanced with the flywheel I've read, but I'm sure you'd never really notice.

Paul, many thanks for your kind offer. If I am not sorted by then may arrange to Click and Collect as my wife and I are planning a trip to NZ next April with a stop off in Sydney where one of my daughters is living ATM!
Cheers.

No problem at all. Even if you have got one by then feel free to catch up if you make it to Christchurch. Mind you I'm happy to drive it anywhere in the South Island at a moments notice.

Cheers Paul, will update you nearer the time to see if you are around. We are planning a camper van trip on SI so you never know!

Excellent, that will be great. Just stay away from the Mackenzie country when it's windy, I've seen a few camper vans on their sides down that way due to the all too common norwester.
