New 17" coffin spoke wheels

Hi, A couple of us 308 owners on Fchat want to get some 16" or 17" coffin spoke wheels and can't find any (Lister Bell has no stock.) Is there much demand for the bigger wheels as the smaller tyres are getting harder to find and more expensive. Forged wheels (17x8 and 17x9.5) will be about $1600/set plus any shipping/duties/VAT depending on where you are. Cast wheels will be less but we need a minimum of 15 sets. cheers, derek

Any other interest? It looks like the 17" forged blanks will not allow much depth to the spokes so I may have to pay for a new casting mould which means I will probably have 17x8 front and back unless they can machine or roll forge deeper lips for the rear.

Do most Stratos builders use the 98mm PCD? I might get some 108mm PCD for the Ferrari hub and some 98mm for the other Stratos builders. What is the hub-centric diameter for the 98mm PCD hub?

I got the drawings and renderings back from the forged wheel manufacturer and this is what they can do given the constraints of their current forged blanks. To get the deeper rear spokes will require new moulds which is only viable for 100+ wheels. I am thinking of getting the front design (spokes protrude into the lip area) but with 17x8 front and 17x9 rear. They may be able to do 16", they are still looking for suitable blanks. Price will be approx $1300 plus shipping and duties (probably $1600 delivered.)
