I want to use a 4 point quick release rally type harness, I was wondering what other people are using, not the brand but type of harness. E.g is it a Westfield or Catheram type harness or do people get full rally harness cut to length and restitch or do you get them made to measure imagine more expensive. Catheram and Westfield seem similar apart from one uses eyebolts at the top straps and the other bolt through solid plate ,would think eye bolts probably better allowing a little more freedom. Thanks for any advice.

I use custom made 6-point ones from TRS

I'm using Sabelt four point westfield style harness, three inch wide. I find the wider straps more comfortable.

I got these too. But obviously not used them yet!

3 inch shoulder and waist straps and the aluminum quick release adjust on both. Had to special order them from Sabelt's UK distributor.

The QR adjusters are a God send in traffic. I had them on some harnesses (Willans) in an Elise and were great if you came to a junction that was difficult to see out of etc.

Bolt in waste straps and eyelet shoulder straps as that's the LB setup.

Westfield, Kenny,

I always bought Sabelt from Demon Tweeks, who were as good on price for those as anyone.

It's not impossible to fit inertia reel belts to a Hawk, but I would advise engineering that option in.
Especially if you're driving the car on the road.
You can't lean forwards at road junctions with harnesses, and the rear quarter view in a Stratos is a bad as a van.
Harnesses also make it difficult to reach dash switches etc., depending on your seat position.

'Best to have both inertia reel and harness options.
