So the real reason the Stratos Zero was canned and they came out with the "regular" Stratos, was so they could finally shift those 500 windscreens they'd had to order, just to get the one for that Trapeze?? :)

Certainly looks a more credible ancestor of the Strato's than the zero does!

'Presented in 1973 Chris.
So post Stratos 1240 twin wiper by 2 years and post Zero by 3.
But yes, the Zero looks more like the LP400's ancestor, than the production Stratos.

Never seen the Trapeze before though Chris - looks really odd to me!

That looks full-on UFO (the TV series)! Bertone certainly liked to recycle though didn’t they.

The Trapeze has always reminded me a little of the AMC Gremlin, only a little, around the back and rear quarter window.

I know the runabout Guy. I didn't realise it was designed in the 60s though.
The X1/9 and Stratos design cues are all there.
There's your ancestor, Chris R.?
