Folks,

Another event some of you might be interested in. Seems the Midland Auto Club (MAC) are having their biennial run in April, and us lot are invited. It's not a display, but a tour, culminating in a non-competitive run up the hill - details below, so if you fancy giving it a go, contact them directly.

The MAC Classic is an event organised by the Sports and Classic section of the Midland Automobile Club. It is the only event open to non-MAC members so it is always good to see new faces and different cars. The event takes place every two years so we hope your members will be interested in joining us for the 2020 tour day on Sunday 26th April 2020.

We wondered if this could be forwarded to your members and perhaps be mentioned in your club newsletter. Entries can be made at shelsleywalsh.com/classicevents (https://shelsley-walsh.us7.list-manage.com/track/click?u=affb1078e8d53abecaa7a3a41&id=4ab6f0a5ef&e=5c8a1803d2)

If you have any queries or would like more information about the event, please contact Gail Harrison at classics@shelsley-walsh.co.uk

Carol & I have already entered this event, we have done it on three occasions in the past but more sedately in our Stag, so it will be interesting to compare doing it in the Stratos.

Come and join us, you don't have to have a classic, anything interesting will do, so get out your Maclarens, Ultima's and Ferraris if the Stratos is not yet running. The event has 4 start venues, catering for 50 cars from each. We shall be starting from Western Park, in Staffordshire, the others are Leicestershire, Gloucestershire, and Warwickshire although I was talking to the organiser today who told me that the Warwickshire start was almost full !!

It is a well organised, enjoyable event, refreshment at the start, finish & other places included, and interesting places to see en route.

Robin.
