Dave E's Martini liveried LB attracted much attention on a damp and dreary day in Banbury as people awaited the cars commencing the concentration run from Glasgow.

What a poser. But you can't blame him tho, can ya ;)

Not sure I'd have parked outside a key-cutting shop and expected such a desirable thing to still be there upon my return tho.... or maybe there's a pack of snarling Dobermans just out of shot? Haha!

I see a few shots of it on various Twitter accounts too.

That’s the nicest Martini interpretation I’ve seen on a Stratos. Works so well with the shape.

Don't have an account so don;t post anything. That's 'doing it' in my opinion! Read some stuff but only public accounts that allow you to see them without having to log in.

Funny, I was chatting to two Coppers that said they stood behind a couple of guys that were discussing how easy it would be to nick, they made their presence known and the guys moved on:( I'd like to think they were joking

That's a bit of an "oo-ee-oo" moment...but ARE they easy to nick? I mean, OK, old-type door locks, simple column steering lock, but who knows what else is in place on a given car? And then, assuming you've got your filthy hands on the motor and stashed it away out of sight - what ya gonna do with it?? Stands out like a sore thumb, even if you repaint it, and you can't offer it for sale as that would be an instant "go straight to jail, do not pass Go, do not collect £70K" scenario, even if you tried to alter its identity (pointless due to the low numbers). And even breaking it and offering the parts would get your front door battered down in no time. So there's no point in nicking it, unless you just wanted the practice or summat?
By the way, did consider joyriders but they'd be lucky to get 100 yards, or at least to the first bend, before they stuffed it, meaning you could probably drag them out of the car and beat them to a pulp before the police arrived.

They wouldn't have got far as the battery was dead, I had to jump it in the morning and only did halve a mile getting it there so it didn't have a chance to charge. Wonderful things those mini power packs:-)
