Absolutely, positively, unequivocally no connection to the seller!

It doesnt say what type of replica it is - or what engine it has. (a photo would be useful too!)

My French isn't great, and may be more literal than idiomatic, but the vendor seemingly says that it's not in a good state, that the chassis has 'gone west', but there's still a Grey card which (apparently....) is 'useful' for the construction or use of a Stratos: "for those who understand, it's good for those passing the end of your road" (sic).

Eh?

How very odd, you might think ...... but what do we 'rosbifs' know of the language of Moliere and Maupassant?

"Curious and curiouser" said Alice.

It's for sale by someone who made himself a bit unpopular on this forum a few years ago.

Of course Chris. The stickers are on top of the paint!
Seriously, I saw photos of this car under construction. The welding in particular was appaling and several elements of the chassis design missing altogether.
It was based on the Corse drawings but someone don't know how to read them. Or thinks he knows better.....
Or, more charitably, didn't have all the drawings to work from.
Whatever, one to pass on.

What's this "CG" that's mentioned in the advert? I can't help but think "centre of gravity" but it's obviously not that, unless he's found a way to bend the laws of physics....must be something pretty major for 15000 euros.

I'm assuming its "Carte Gris". Effectively what makes the car a legal entity or not?
Most probably "not"........

Exact CG in this side of the channel means « Carte Grise » which it’s the French registration... without you cannot drive the car legally on roads and it’s also a certificate of ownership mandatory for insuring the car.

Then if anyone buy this one without CG that would be only for decorating his garden or staying in the garage!!

Thanks for that, John and Frederic!
I did wonder if it was something to do with registration, but why would you buy a car without it? And why would you SELL a car without it...as you say, Frederic, it becomes just an expensive ornament! Makes no sense to me. But then, I can be notoriously dim :)

Or a pure track day car/trailer queen?

See? Said I was dim.... Although, if I was looking for a trackday car, it wouldn't be a Stratos. Especially at that price.

Anyway with this low cost & spec build, Track is definetely to avoid except if you are suicidal :(
