This was something I'd planned to do for the AGM time last weekend.

It's a window sticker (inside out), and backed with white ink on clear vinyl.
I've chosen the late 1970s era for the style.
If any club members are interested in these, it would be best for me if there was some standardised elements to them all.
I'm included a couple of photos of the very first ones I've completed the artwork for, and printed.
After applying them to a windscreen, I can see that the tints need to be darker.

I have also attached an alternative design which I prefer.
The first one is too subtle, 'too much like an ordinary tax disc?

As this is for the club, I'm giving my time for free. It's not a money making thing, for me, at least.

While I'm here;
Here's a 'Busso' sticker that I'd also been thinking of making for some time.
Tim Weston just jogged my memory. The one in the photo is cut from black gloss vinyl.
Again, this can be an SEC regalia thing, if there's any demand.

By the way, the triple colon thing is to show the layout of cylinders, as so many classic Lancia badges do.

Whoo, you talented wee thing, you....

Agree the first one's too subtle. Others are cool though! I'd be up for one if you were going to knock a few out. Have to be STR:3.5 for me ;)

Thanks Norm,

I like the red and green versions too.
The largest lettering area needs no more than 7 or 8 characters for it to look correct. (where I've put 'HF3000' or 'STR:3.2')
There's a date lower down in any case, so that (date) element is still there.

Nice work!
I like the green one but in blue if that makes sense!

I like the second style. Would they be personalised as to reg.no. ? would the date be variable, or what is the significance of 31/10/86?

I've had somthing similar in my car for a while now - a copy of the first tax disc issued to my car on it's date of registration - well, the donor car with a description Lancia Stratos...

Yes, that makes sense, Gerry.

Yes Chris, the reg.no. can be personalised, and the date too. Any typical tax disc colour of the period too.

I know custom reproduction tax discs are widely available Guy. 'Just wanted to do something special for SEC members, at material cost.

1. With the SEC lettering surrounding (as if it was a holder)?

2. Or just the disc alone? (it has the SEC lettering as part of the disc design, in any case)

I like the SEC surround. Very period-looking. Maybe you could do an alternative that says "Hopeless Stratos Tragic"? ;)

Hi Chris - I like them all - and the "powered by Busso". If I were to choose it would be your very last shot in Green (but in blue!) of the LB Specialist Cars - but mine would be 3.0ltr. Sounds like you could end up with lots of permutations! I'd certainly buy one
Peter.

Thanks for that Peter,
The permutations I can fairly easily change are ok. The stamp part would be ok, as long as it stays in the same place/size.
I think I need to illustrate a range of possible options, and go from there.

So would I
Thanks Jim. That's one more to add.

I like the Powered by Busso one too! Is it possible to make the top line with the cylinder dots the same length as Busso? And maybe put the Hawk or LB logo on it too?

Just a thought...
Cheers
Guy

Anything's possible Guy.
On the 'Powered by HONDA' stickers you can get, the 'Powered by' part is only just over half the length of 'HONDA'.

I designed the BUSSO one so that the gap between 'Powered by' and the 6 dots, lines up with the gap between the second 'S' and 'O'.
I understand the need to badge it for the club, but adding anything else might make it 'messy'?

Absolutely brilliant idea, put me down for a couple of sets minimum as it may well spread to some of my other motley collection.
Nice one Chris.:).

'Right you are Tim,

Are you sure you don't want a 'Powered by: LAMPREDI' too?

Yep, we will need a Lampredi one but I will leave the Fire powered Seicento out!

One perfect day it would be good to have powered by Dino&Weber . . . (dream on!)

'Right o, Ian.

I just need to do a little bit more work on this, to better illustrate the options.
