View Full Version : Hello, I just joined, a year ago.....
Hello,
I'm typing on my mother's, Sue's, behalf.
She has a Transformer Stradle, fitted with a Guy Croft stage 2 tuned 2ltr Lancia Twin Cam. The vehicle was built by David Price Racing in the late 1980s.
Attached is a photo of the car in the Swiss Alps in 2018.
We joined a year ago, but my mum hasn't been able to get on, so I have taken the reins.
EDIT: I think this is chassis number 7, I believe the details are missing from the list here | https://www.stratosec.com/Forum/showthread.php/631-Replica-Cars-Hawk-Transformer
Welcome!
Great looking car in a great looking location.

I guess if you're not Sue, but her son, that makes you Sue-son?? :) If you're her daughter though, then it doesn't really work...
Nice car, good to see an oldie in long-term ownership and still used. Hope you've got it insured for a decent value - they're worth significantly more than they were even 10 years ago!

Nice to XNM25 again! Hope you're all okay, say hi to Sue from me!

I admit I had to go and look DPR up. I knew it rang a bell from that great period of F3 racing but couldn't remember without a memory jog.
Did they build it for Sue or did she acquire it from someone there? I'd be hoping it was set up immaculately!

I am her son, much to my mother's disappointment, she was expecting and hopeing for a daughter, so much so that I have three brothers, all who should have been girls!
The car is definately still going. However, the vehicle is in need of some TLC; the windscreen leaks and the interior is a little tired, but I'm going to be giving it a bit of an overhaul over the next few months.

It was bought in the mid 90s as a 25 year wedding aninversay present from one of the mechanics that built it, with only 2000 miles on the clock. The car has just over 21000 now, ~3500 of which I added in 2018 touring Europe.

Sue says hi Back :)
Welcome!
Great looking car in a great looking location.
Thank you, it was quite the trip.
We used to live in Cricklade and remember seeing the car prowling around outside of Cirencester. Great to see it again. Any more great photos?

Car is on the list - Line 101.
The list is out of date and not listed by chassis number.
