(this is the third attempt to post this message - fingers crossed !)

It's that time again everyone !.

I have been doing this job for several years now and would like to step back and give someone else a chance to have a go at putting together the annual calendar.

It's not difficult and I am happy to give guidance on what is needed to make it happen . We use Vistaprint and they can turn the job around within a few days.

It has been suggested that since we have a number of cars in build at the moment we should show more build shots. We have some excellent projects underway at the moment using some wonderful engineering skills - I'm thinking of Andy Guyton's dashboard, some excellent fabrication work in NZ and some engine porn stuff with throttle bodies and induction systems in the UK.

So who is up for it ? Get back to me please and we'll set the wheels in motion.

(calendars will probably not be issued free for next year but will be charged - details to follow)

Thanks

Peter

Come on then folks, step right up - this could be your chance to show the world your artistic side and tasteful choice of photos....or not :)

Should you be successful in your application and pass the selection test (which involves you sticking your hand up and saying "I'll do it"), I think the only proviso for photo selection is that you can't have 12 pictures of your own car, or we'll all come round and batter you to death.

Many Ta's to Pete for doing the calendar over the last few years. It's much appreciated!

Peter, what's the deadline for photos...I could well have some engine porn ready for you soon. Flattered that you think the dash is worthy.

Andy - we should aim to have it complete by say, mid November (give or take) - and Vistaprint should have the calendars available by the end of the month - in good time for Christmas.

Well I've not been inundated with offers ! Any takers anyone to put together the 2021 Calendar for the Club?

Come on then peeps, if you fancy a calendar this year (and I appreciate not everyone's bothered) then why not help Pete out and have a go at putting it together? You even get to choose the pictures that go in it! Just look on it as a sort of "kit calendar" that you get to assemble :)

Dunno what the cutoff date for volunteering is, but I guess the sooner we get someone the better, then we know it's all in hand.

Also just to clarify - the calendar shots can be whatever Stratos shots you choose . They dont have to be all build shots !

I'll give it a another few days and if there are no takers I'll have another go.

Thanks

OK - I give in, I'll do it one more time !.

Please send prospective Calendar photos to my personal E:Mail cutlerpj@aol.com

Photos to be of Stratos cars , preferably recent, preferably also interesting, and can be examples of your engineering build skills, and as high a definition as you can manage (min 3.5 to 4 Mb preferably)

I will need 13 photos (including the cover shot)

So - your photographic offerings please !

Thanks

Thanks for doing this, Pete, even though you wanted to hand it on. So this is a note for everyone else - we've got another year for someone to step up and have a try at organising the calendar gig. And if no-one volunteers, I guess it'll be no calendar next time! I'm hoping Pierre won't have to wrestle with his conscience again 12 months from now....

As I'm due to retire next year it's something I can take on for 2022? Assuming everyone is happy with 13 pictures of my car ;):rolleyes::rolleyes:

Doesn't hurt at all Norm. I'm safe, I was going to do 13 pictures including the front cover.....

I think Guys idea of his 13 pics is a great idea;)... some as Stradale, some Gp4, some Gp4 Pirelli, having them all as a calendar makes it easier for me as reference pics/panel gaps etc!

Thanks Tim! don't forget stradale interior, Gp4 interior in right and left hand drive and Volumex drive train and V6 installation too!

Hmmm. I see the 2022 and 2023 calendars featuring my car alone.....

Excellent!

Thought we gave them away to members as freebies?

Normb666

That was just the last couple of years, same as we did the free subs, as we had a fair bit of loot in the coffers. This year's calendar will be back to the Old Ways, i.e. hoping that people will buy them! Who knows, I might even shell out on one meself (the collected membership faints in shock)...
