View Full Version : 2021 Calendars - now ready for print !

I've now finished putting together the 2021 Calendar and would like to thank everyone who contributed - whether or not I was able to use all the photos submitted.
Mark Eaton (redline) is now finalising the pricing , including postage to all the far flung corners of our membership.
The first print order has been placed - for a smaller run than last year as we will have to charge a modest fee this time around but it will, of course be worth every penny !
Mark will put a note out shortly.
Peter C
Well done Peter & Mark
Thanks for your hard work and thanks to the contributors, looking forward to seeing the end result.

We've managed to get everything in place to take orders for the 2021 Calendars, so get your orders in on the Club shop here (http://www.stratosec.com/club%20shop.htm).
Make sure you choose the relevant destination option (UK, Europe or Rest of the World) and provide a good address for delivery. I'll do my best to get them out ASAP after order comes in.

Done. Need a new calendar for the desk at work.
Having my normal luck with technology.
Keep getting a paypal message returning me to the merchant!? Tried a couple of times.
Me too
Tried about 10 times last night and again this morning
Will try from a different device later to see if that works
Maybe demand is so high Gerry. Glad it's not just me.

Hi - I just logged on from my laptop instead of phone and it worked, albeit at the second or third attempt.
Wish I could be more helpful.
Good luck 🤞🤞
Laptop!? Oh yeah, I remember them.
I'll see if I can find mine. Must be somewhere!

I too am all calendared up as of today. Fave pic is of Mel Griffith's car in the water splash....whoever he is... but who'd have thought there were two Welsh Mels with cars in exactly the same paint scheme?? ;)
Face it, we can't have a calendar without getting at least one mistake in there, can we? If mine ever gets in it'll be "Normal's Strat" or summat :)
I doubt the word "normal" will feature overly often, Norm ;)

Thanks Normal - I was hoping no one would notice - apart from Mel (Lewis) of course ! (and I've already apologised to Mel !) - still, the picture is good !!

No prob Pierre - just thought I'd get it out there so nobody else needs to mention it now, and you only have to be embarrassed the once :)

I moved to Skipton last Sept and have the 2020 calendar.
That may have been auto forwarded by Royal Mail for 3 months as something we paid for when we moved.
Where will the 2021 calendar go?
I cant find an address in my StratosEC profile.
Regards
Steve
Steve,
If you order via the club shop, it will use PayPal to place the order. If you ensure your PayPal account (associated with your e-mail address) is set up with your primary address pointing to where you live now, that is where the calendar will go.
I think you also get given a chance to check/edit your address when placing the order. If you have any other issues PM me...

Mark.
Thanks.
Paypal is Skipton address.
Steve
I'll keep an eye open for the order coming in....
Any clue as to why ì cant order one?
I use paypal all the time for ordering online, without any issue.
As soon as I click on buy, I get forwarded to paypal and instantly get a message referring me back to merchant.
I mean, I can crank up the old laptop, try to remember my passwords etc., but why am I having an issue only with this online shop?
Sorted I think. Thanks Robin!

For the benefit of members - these are the photos submitted that were used in the calendar (if you havent bought one yet) Thanks again to all those who submitted pictures - whether they were used or not , I appreciate it.
Cover - Mark (Redline) Zenith car
Jan - Andy (Ducatiman) in paintshop
Feb - Chris Jarvis - Stratos Zero - Andy Saunders rendering
March - Craig - LB on Vosges Rally
April -Andy Phillips - Stratos tails
May -Andy Guytons dash panel
June -Craig - LB in Tokyo
July - Mel Lewis (Aka Griffiths (not really)) through watersplash
Aug - Craig - LB for Germany
Sep -Craig - Marlboro STR in Mediterranean
Oct - Corky - Napiersport in US
Nov Paul Duncan (Fingers - or Airfix !) in NZ
Dec Richard Hodson - Napiersport
If you think there are not enough Hawk cars included it is because I didnt get enough Hawk car images - I can only work with what photos I am sent !
Interestingly I contacted Andy Saunders (look up his website) who re-built/finished the Stratos Zero from a film prop car apparently used in a Michael Jackson video - and asked if I could use one of his photos for the calendar. He responded - but only after I had completed the calendar - and would be happy to allow the use of the photo - but this will have to wait for next year ! The Zero was sold to someone in the US back in 2009 - so must be sat in someone's collection. He is due to retire shortly and will be starting on some new and interesting car build projects - so he tells me.
So if your car is included in the list above (or even if not) - and you havent bought a calendar yet - please do so !

That's alright, we're sorted for next year. I already have 12 images of a Hawk Pirelli car to use.

Thanks Guy - noted !! (cant guarantee we'll use all of them though !)
A bit late but calendar now ordered deafinatley cant order from the phone but one finger on the laptop and it works.
Got calendar today, well done to everyone involved, great job.
Arrgh, I've not been on here for a while and find the calendar is sold out, and my car is Miss December!
Are any more being printed?
Normb666

There ya go - fitting name for the car....Miss December, miss getting the calendar.... :(
Moral of story: keep checking on here, kids, cos you just dunno what might pass you by!
But seriously, commiserations. Whether there's another run will depend on how many more peeps want one. Obviously it's gotta be financially viable for the club - can't pay for a minimum run of, say, 50, if only half-a-dozen want one... wonder if this'll provoke a rash of overpriced, slightly-used calendars on Ebay, next to the PS5s and Xboxes?? :)
