I'm in an Alfa Romeo Facebook page and a rather nice 3.2GT popped up - way too good (and expensive) for a donor but it got me thinking about a cherished number plate.
Assuming you've got an Alfa Romeo V6 in your car then how about this one?

Craig said he's got enough on retention!

Nice one ! - although probably meaningless to all but the cognoscenti. (I've got my number on retention but not revealing it until I pass the test !)
It's certainly not the worst plate out there.

I'm looking for PI 55 OFF, if anyone's seen it for sale...
Last time I checked V600RSE was still available and maybe attractive to a Corse owner, with strategic placement of a yellow fixing bolt.

I knew somebody who had OKP 1G on a 6R4, and was stopped by the boys in blue regularly, particularly as he used to drive enthusiastically!!
I have LB11STR on retention.

John.
I was going to buy that one, TBH i was so uncertain how the IVA and registration worked I did all I could to get a "proper" number and not a Q plate by justifying the re-use of engine/gearbox/steering etc and they gave me a 1992 K reg.
When I then enquired about that number I could not put it on mine.

Shame that is Steve. Of course it would have to go on a post 2000 car.

The engine and gearbox came with a V5. The reg was something like K877 SCX. I cant remember the numbers, but it was definitely SCX.
SCX was a result for me Steve Cook
I could have had K877 SC X
With a careful fixing bolt i could have had K877 SEX
DVLA said I could not use the reg unless I could produce the old car. Doh! as Brian had binned it
