Ireland Stratos owners

Hi All,

Are there any SEC members with a Stratos replica in the southern part of Ireland, that have also done a registration in Ireland??
I was wondering if Ireland has also an IVA kind of registration, would it be similar to the UK?
I am asking because i want to explore possibilities for the registration of my Lancia 037 build. Before Brexit we used to go to SVA, IVA in the UK, with the help of manufacturers like Hawk cars.
As Brexit has made it difficult i was thinking maybe Ireland, stil an EU member might be possible?

Pim, have you thought about a two stage process? 1. SVA in Northern Ireland, then 2. transfer registered car to ROI registration?

I purchased my Stratos in 2002 but it was already registered in the UK even thou I bought it in France. I actually don't know about registering an un-registered car. Something I had no reason to think about !! I'll ask a friend of mine he may know. But Griff maybe right, there seems to be a loop hole bring cars from Northern Ireland to the South avoiding out increased VRT tax

Its all about evoiding the import taxes to UK and back again to the Netherlands ( twice taxes!!) but more important finding a trustworthy partner who would have to do this proces in his name entrusting my car to him and hoping to get it back :eek:
I did this proces in 2009 with my Stratos with a company called Talon sports cars, the helped Hawk customers with the whole SVA thing.
Still exploring this way of registering, it could work.
