This last year has not been a good one. MOT today, a month late for various reasons, and only 850 miles covered. Car has a fit on the way home and overheats. Not the first time. Got some investigating to do. Hope it's not the head gaskets and just a slipping belt or stuck thermostat...

Fortunately the hissy fit was post MOT pass.

having had it (gasket) happen to me in the last 12 months, don't forget to bolt the cylinders down, if you take the head(s) off, Griff

I feel your pain! my Beta decided to overheat and not hold coolant, white frothy bubbles were the order of the day... every day! Turned out to be a relatively new thermostat from a Lancia supplier related to the Greek alphabet, put it in the bin, fitted a gsh item all good.
A strato's that gives aggro is still better than a modern that works:)
