The 3.2 147 GTA & 3.2 GT ECU's are not easy to make work outside of the Alfa donor as they are tied in more to the cars body module.
The CF3 166 3.0 ECU is more conventional in its external connections so it is easier to wire in outside of the donor car.
The other thing is that the GT/GTA ECU's are quite valuable as they can fail in the Alfa's, I think this is due to heat issues.
They can sell for £400+ if you have a working one.

When I had this (see below) the plan was an Emerald ECU.

As well as a cable TB and GTA plenum adapter.

An aftermarket ECU is probably the easiest solution for a 3.2 engine from a 147 or GT but it does add cost.
If you've dismantled a 3.2 car for is engine then it unlikely you would have a 3.0 ECO lying around to go with it as well.
