Wanted - X1/9 door handle lock pawl (left)

Anyone have a spare pawl for the left door handle?

If so can I buy it please?

What diameter 'punch' do I need to remove the roll pin when replacing?

I think I used a shank off a broken 2mm drill but actually started the pin moving with the point of a self tapping screw!

How much movement is there of the pawl on the lock? Mine seems to moved a lot!

Yep,
Waggles about like a waggley thing on a waggley stick!

You can see how big the hole is that the pin goes thru in this pic.
Which is why it is so difficult to line up on reassembly.

Tip: grind a point on a piece of nail or bar that is a decent fit in the hole in the pawl and is about 2" long.

Put pawl on barrel.
shove piece of pin thru till point shows thru.
line up roll pin over the centre.
Keep pressure on the pointed bar whilst you tap it thru the pawl................

I've just taken a brand new factory Fiat (not repro) door handle out of its box, and gave the pawl a waggle.
It waggles.

Cheers, managed to get my pin out. Took quite a bit of force!
