Can anybody explain why the sixth car through, the blue one with Grifon on the rear spoiler, why the rear louvres deflect upwards when the power is put on?

Exhaust leak?
Perhaps not.

I think exhaust leak is correct.

I had a Dino in once that on the motorway bringing the car to the workshop the engine cover was lifting on one side.
Attached is a photo of what was wrong.
The exhaust manifolds have fine tuning take offs.
The one on the right has the sealing bolt missing firing exhaust gas straight up.
That would easily bend a Stratos engine cover.

Thanks for the explanation Tom, that is obviously very feasible.

Tom's theory on the lifting rear louvres has to be correct.

Regarding the Dino photo, I didn't know 246 Dinos had that access panel in the boot front wall.
'Pity 308 GT4s don't have the same?

They have if you've got some tin snips ;)

Chris, all Dinos have the removable panel. You lift the engine up about 8 inches and turn it 90 degrees and then comes through where the panel is removed.

I see Tom?
You can't do that with a GT4. It was like a puzzle, just to get the cam belt covers out from the top.

GT4 belts are easy.....couple of hours;)

The jobs easy, it's the access in situ and the jeopardy of getting it wrong that's the problem.
I made sure a bit more than I would with a Vauxhall Corsa.
