Ever so slightly overpriced I reckon.....by about ?40K, maybe more. Still, if you don't ask, etc. Anyone know the reason for the sale so soon after completion? Magnar, can you enlighten us?

It is a lovely car! Just out of interest, Chris...does the fact it has Hawk parts make any difference at all? - It all looks pretty damn good to me.

I don't think a mix and match policy on any car will affect it's value. Unless it's a Ford/Vauxhall/Toyota door handle etc. obviously. Something that's difficult to remove and install the correct bit.

Price is what the buyer is willing to pay and the fact that this is a LHD car in a market where registration may be an issue/difficult or where export to another country is simplified by prior registration will increase it's value. I don't know specifics with Norway though! Then there's the lack of cars on the market at any given time and the long waiting time for the order books to reopen at LB Cars all of which will contrive to drive prices higher.

Good luck with the sale Magnar! Hope you get what you want for the car and the new owner makes themselves known to us all!

Not at all Andy, it's one of the best detailed STRs I've seen.
For example, the Carello fog mounts on this car are wise and neat. Wrestling with the original set up isn't easy.

It is the planing and building of a car that i enjoy, it has been 4 years since i made the deposit to LB and now it is finished.
I am selling the car to fund a new project, not decided on what yet, Sadly the LB has to go.

About the price, had to start somewhere was my thinking.
Open to offers.

Magnar, yes best of luck with your sale and hope you get your asking price.
I have enjoyed your build thread too and have shamelessly copied your Fog light bracket on my Carello front fog lights.
Cheers Ade!

Thank you,

I was possibly a bit optimistic with the price at first, it is now changed to something more realistic i hope.

Over 110k is still seriously strong money over list. I guess that's the premium you pay to avoid waiting 4+ years for one..

What's the turnkey list price Andrew?

What's the turnkey list price Andrew?
I think that really depends upon the spec. Predominantly what engine or what state of tune it is in, Gp4 or Stradale interior etc etc

I know there'll be lots of variables, but I'm just wondering what the actual figure that Andrew has in mind, and what he's comparing Magnar's asking price with?
I wasn't sure what "list" meant.

Don't wanna get into a discussion over values, but price is the same as anything else that's in short supply and big demand - look at Porsche GT3/GT4's, for example. Even so, there's a limit to what the market will stand, so I think Magnar's got the ball on the green now.

I offer the following without further comment - I spoke to Mark Harrison at Total Headturners while at Goodwood yesterday and following a discussion he reckoned he could offer ?80k for mine. His view was that he could sell an LB for around ?85-90k depending on spec.

I'm sure he could sell lots and lots and lots of them at that price.

From what I've heard he generally tries to sell them for approx double what he pays for them.

Reckon on seeing your car on his website at more than that.....Mark H isn't a fool, he knows his market. He's been in the business a good while and the fact he's still around tells you he's making a good living!

My experience of Mark Harrison was a little different when he came up to see Nellie... according to him at the time (Sept 2019) I would get nowhere near ?20k, which was his offer ... he seemed to me to be a "chancer"..... his valuation was less than half what she sold for..... she now live's in Annonay, France.

If you shake his hand count your fingers afterwards !

I fully understand now that there's little point quoting a price, as it soon becomes obsolete.
That goes for a lot of things these days.
