Andy, the forum does not like photos taken in Portrait. It simply does not recognise that format for some reason. You can however fool it into thinking Portrait photos are in Landscape by cropping a sliver off the top or bottom of the photo in gallery editing, saving and reinserting in your post. You will also need to delete the original photos attachment narrative in your post and in the advanced editing section.
Or simply modify (as described above) any portrait photos you want to post before you upload.
Hope that makes sense?
I am no expert, just on the Autistic/OCD spectrum...... ;-)
Cheers!
Ade

So I have checked how I insert photo's into my post's as I have never had a problem with the wrong rotation.....................I have never used the "Insert Photo" option on the quick reply box. When Inserting Photo's I always use select the "Go Advanced" option and then use the "Attachments" button. This brings up a sub menu that allows the selection of 10 photo's before uploading...............the only disadvantage of this method is that there is only a maximum size file that it will allow you to upload. Most of the High Quality photo's that I post I normally have to reduce the size by 50%. Also ensure that you use the "Insert in Line" Button...........

I have attached a couple of photo's and screen shots of the method that I use.

This also confirms that you can add Portrait photos................Hope this helps, sorry just being OCD......:D:D:D:cool:

It's not OCD Andy.

It's CDO. You have to get the letters the right order.

Please.:)

I've always done it this way too.
'Hadn't even noticed the 'insert image' thing.
