Excellent - many Ta's to Neil for organising all this. Should be a nice change from doing it in a tent in a field in Warwickshire....erm, the AGM, I mean :)
Suppose I should sign up and pay up - or it'll be a weird AGM with no Chairman!

Oh, and made this a sticky thread so it should stay "on top" of any other threads.

The good news is the PayPal link works so thanks Aaron for being the first to try.

15 confirmed for AGM so far. Appreciate it?s a Bank Hol but that also makes a great excuse to have a drive out, enjoy meeting fellow enthusiasts and visit the excellent Motor Museum whilst having an opportunity to support and have input into the club. I attended my first SEC AGM last year and my experience was that it was an enjoyable and worthwhile day out with great people. Hopefully you can join us.
All the best
Neil

Yeah, c'mon, peeps - this is the AGM for YOUR club. Turn up, throw tomatoes and rotten eggs at the committee....well, maybe not tomatoes, cos there aren't any, but you get the idea ;) Give us some suggestions on what you'd like us to do (no, not like that!!) and you get the chance to have a mooch round the museum as well!

For those who think these things are inevitably boring, I beg to differ - we try and keep things as concise as possible, we don't make long sleep-inducing speeches and we make it as amusing as we can. Plus, just looking at the committee members should give y'all a chuckle or three :) So come along, and don't force a rename to the Stratos Apathy Club....

Sorry I wont be able to make it. Myself, along with the Hassle brothers are taking our cars to the Laon Historique Rally that weekend.

One of the things I am trying to organise for the day and to make even more worthwhile is a professional photographer. The gent that did the footmanjames piece on my car. I am also entering into dialogue with the museum to explore the possibility of having our cars photographed with one of their exhibits. No idea yet if it will happen, very much a germ of an idea which I need to discuss with the committee.

Neil - last year I had a chat with the guy that runs the place (cant remember his name) about organising an exhibition of the British Kit/Replica car industry but at that time couldnt convince him . (bear in mind it's a display of the British motor industry so not sure which British exhibit would be most suitable - perhaps a British Rally icon of the period - Cooper S, Escort Rs 1600/Twin Cam/ Mexico,TR8, that sort of thing.)
Good idea for a photographer though.

Peter Thanks for the insight. I’m definitely aligned to your thoughts. I believe they have a 6R4 there as well. Not sure to everyone’s tastes but I must confess to liking the Rally TR8 and I once owned a MK1 Escort Twin Cam which I sold for ?2k many decades ago

Hopefully a few more will join us and enjoy the day out.

I could put the heating on and a certain LB could provide the sunshine
On a separate note, 1963 must be a fine vintage. I’m 60 on 17th April and Debbie 5th November. plus 40th wedding anniversary in July , bloody expensive year as the children want us to have Partys and holidays
( and hopefully I get my cam upgrades) Enjoy your family celebrations, they are very precious.

Hopefully you’ve had your pride and joys out in the sunny weather. Took mine out yesterday for a blast rinsing 7500 through the gears got as far as fourth and frit myself but with a grin wider than the backend

All,

Here's the Agenda for the big day. Think I've got everything covered, but if not, or you'd like something to be considered/discussed, even if you're not attending, let me know and I can amend it.

As an additional thought, would the membership like to see future years AGM's be live streamed. Norm and I have been discussing this for a while, and have recognised that those members living outside of the UK have little or no means to attend or contribute with the current arrangements.
Live streaming would allow people (both external to the UK, and those in the far flung reaches) to virtually attend, and to contribute, your thoughts please?

Much as I'd like to attend in person, I would strongly support the live streaming as an option..

I've signed up to Norm's "OnlyFans" video stream so should be to see and hear his speech. I'll probably just raffle the promised goodie-bag and signed vest.

Unfortunately, I don't have any fans. Or friends, come to think of it.... oh, and the goodie bag will prob be a wee bit light on content (i.e. empty), but the vest will be only lightly worn.

Thanks Neil for the Organizing and sending the plan of the Car Parks.

For those of you who may not be familiar with this venue, to get to area 6 which is right opposite the entrance to the Conference Centre and is the premier spot, after coming around the small Island on the right hand side of the Map, travel through Car Parks 4 & 5 to the 'T' junction, turn left in front of 5 up to the Zebra Crossing and then go up the incline on what you may think is a Footpath only, to reach area 6.

Not sure if there will be anything else on at the Venue that day, but there may be a queue on the dual carriageway approach to get through the main entrance, if that is the case, travel up the outside lane and turn in where I am sure somebody will show you where to go. They do seem to be very well organised. Last time I was there, there was a Custom Car Show, cars scrapping their belly's on the road everywhere, and that's what we did.
