Assuming it's an Allora and it's not known to anyone!

Looks more Corse than Allora to me, but the photos are not brilliant so couldn't be sure.

Did the Corse carry over the distinctive pointy nosed front clip from the Allora John?

Corse S from what I can see. Not so sure about ?18K unless there are a lot more parts not being shown

It's a Corse.
Allora floor and cage legs look like this Guy...

There was this Allora variation (https://www.stratosec.com/Forum/showthread.php/5819-First-Litton-Corse?) I noticed a couple of years ago, but has the cage legs coming down to the sill at 90 degrees.
Corse cage legs are more angled at the bottom.

I am with John and Chris its a Corse not an Allora. The front suspension mounting points are different.

Thanks for clearing the identity up chaps. Hope it finds a new owner with the required cash to finish it properly! I also hope there’s more than a body and chassis for sale!

The Litton demo did have vertical cage legs like in that Allora pic. Maybe some stock left over from Handmade Cars.
I concur that the car for sale is a Litton Corse S, and not an early early one as it doesn't have the chassis mounts for the Beta lower wishbone.

Am I stating the obvious, but the 54k retail is dependent on final completed spec. So probably what I am asking is where he got 54k from?

I don't understand the 54k bit either Sach?

I think the asking price is about right, given that it's the only kit you can buy without waiting.

I wonder if you can insist on having the trailer thrown in with the deal?
Would you say that's a safe way to transport it up the motorway?

Made me smile!
Trailer got me thinking too. Do you think it's possible that this has just been hauled in from somewhere and it's just being sold on quickly?

'Think you might be right John. 'Like something's happened to the owner, and the person selling it doesn't know much about it? 'Just a guess?

Not sure about the trailer being thrown in, the tyres are a bit suspect?

I've been in touch with the seller.

Apparently the kit was left to him by a friend in his will. He has the suspension arms and other parts he can't identify which may belong to the kit. He's not sure if it's set up for Alfa or Lancia but may take photographs of the engine bay which will allow us to identify it better. I've suggested he updates the listing with photos of the other components which might make the kit a lot more viable.

Well done Guy. It will make a good base for someone.
Corse can be built into a nice car.
Can't be many in this state still?

New eBay listing now, but with more photos. (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/225496745644?hash=item3480a746ac:g:J1gAAOSwnK9kIIyP)
I'm guessing the live Fiat Axle is for rear calipers?
'Looks like you get some Beta wishbones, that you didn't want?

john

Can't see any use for the Beta wishbones.
And those are twin cam engine mounts aren't they?
I don't recognise the rack as the Litton item either. Is it Chevette?

Still not seeing 18K - and the extra photo's just reinforce that view. I can't see even half that value in it.
Looking at the standard of work with the pedal box, brakes and steering I would be viewing any of the work done on it up to now with deep suspicion.

Out of curiosity - did the factory modify the hubs by welding the tube on the bottom to suit the lower wishbone - and if they did, why leave the steering arm on?

Looking at this John - could it be a Beta rack?

I think the Seller needs to put in a bit more effort if they are to get anywhere near the price being asked.

Agreed Andrew. I guess it's easy at the moment with the supply and demand situation to think that buyers will be queuing up. But I think we know you would have to put a lot of work in with that kit to get the desired result.

I hear what you are saying at ?18k but ?10k could be more realistic asking price.
Comparatively by todays standards a chassis would be ?5k as would a body set. After that you have a full set of wishbones and the modified rear hubs.
The pedals are scrap, the rack is scrap, the glazing is probably history as well as the screen will have delaminated and the side screens won't be E marked.

The rear hubs were modified by Litton, I can remember seeing the precut webs at Halton Gill.
They were maybe done on an exchange basis & I guess it was left to the customer to cut the original steering arms off if they fancied it.
I've seen cars with and without the arms in the past.
