Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd July 2023

Should there be an SEC stand at this show? There isn't at the moment.
It's free, apparently.

There wasn't last year, but Stratos cars were accepted by the Italian Replica Club, and most went on the first day (Saturday).

We didn't bother as a club last year cos we did Stoneleigh as usual. Obviously no Stoneleigh this year, so if anyone wants to book a pitch on the club's behalf, feel free - but we won't fund a marquee, too expensive.

Anybody interested in going, to give us an idea of numbers (and to see if it's worth it)?

I will Norm.

In fact I've already asked. I'll let you know what happens.

I'll be there on the Hawk stand as usual. There will be a Stratos but it may not be mine!

I've got the entry form which requires a guestimate of car numbers. There were 5 cars last year, so I'll put 5?

Sorry to far north for me!
It would be a 6 hour journey

Excellent news, Chris - now all we need are a few Strats to occupy the pitch :)

We're attending on the Saturday, who else is coming along?

Just one or two and no more Norm.
'Looks like the LMC thing has affected this.

Bit of a shame that there aren't more going. I can't make it cos already got something on that weekend....you're probably right about the LMC event, but there was sod-all happening with that too till not so long ago. At Stoneleigh last year we had a few cars on the Saturday, and no-one at all on the Sunday. Maybe we're moving away from the kit car thing?

The show was a little quiet today probably due to the weather.
But definitely worth the drive to put names to face's.
Pleasure speaking with Guy Mayer's and Craig from LB.

We'll know next time?:)
This is the seat that I mentioned, which, as far as I know, you can still buy new from Italy for a small fortune:

That's great. Thank you.
Was the Sunday any busier?

Sunday was, erm, dire. Packed up at 3, away at 3.30! The forecast was so bad across the M62 Leeds to Liverpool that I opted to stay another night. Right call. Home in the dry today, only 15 miles of spray on the A1.

Weather completely killed the show this year, it's a shame, it may kill it for next year too. If Malvern is cancelled too that's the end of the show circuit and the end of the industry pretty soon after that?
