Hello,

What a great corner of the Internet this forum is, so much knowledge on what is an iconic car

Not sure how best to introduce myself, so here goes...

Like many on here my passion for cars was my main interest through my childhood, started with a Fischer Price garage, the one with a car lift and turntable, then onto Hotwheel/Matchbox cars, then 1/24 Monogram/Revell model car kits, then 1/12 Tamiya F1 model car kits

I skipped past RC cars to build my 1st and only road car. Sylva Phoenix with 185BHP 2ltr Vauxhall Twincam, Only weighed 530kgs. I used parts from 21 different cars, ranging from classic Mini to a McLaren F1. Sold it after it tried to kill me!

Had so much fun playing with cars as a kid, I saw no reason to grow up or stop. Have been very lucky. through out my career I've only worked/still working on fast and cool cars

Downside of playing with cars for a living is, the long hours have left me no time to build any cars for myself

I've now come full circle, looking at buying Tamiya RC cars. Also running out of time so need to build my 2nd and probably last car in my Fischer Price inspired garage which need finishing first

Looked at many options, Ultima, GT40, Porsche 356 Speedster, Audi Quattro SWB, Lancia Type 037 and a Porsche 917

All iconic cars in their own right but it's a Stratos that I keep coming back to which is how I've found myself here

Hope to learn a lot, hope you don't mind my newbie questions and will try to contribute where I can

Thanks,

MM
