Morning all, I'm putting out a request to any members in Germany with experience of importing and registering a fully built car who would be willing to speak to a potential customer we have for one of the two Hawk demonstrators that are currently available or sale?

If you can help please post here and send me a PM so I can forward details of our prospective customer so you can get together please.

Cheers
Guy

Bad news!

Registration is no longer possible in Germany as England is no longer part of the EU.
And another big problem is the report on fiberglass breakage and exhaust emissions for newly registered Euro 6 cars
Used cars do not have a report according (Gutachten) to German law.

Are you saying that it's also impossible to import a used car to Germany now?

A used car with a COC is no problem, but unfortunately a kit car without a certificate (Gutachten) is not possible to make it street legal in germany.

So do you think if it was first registered in another EU country, it could then be transferred to Germany?

@ shakey, if the first registration was before 1988, yes! after 1988 no.

Guy, you may be able to use the special conditions for N. Ireland, if registered there. It is still considered part of the 'common area' as part of the Windsor agreement
