I'm from the US and scoping out a kit build. I read about LB stopping kits, so it will be Hawk if they're still in the game. I'm hoping to draw on the broad advice here to complete a build over a few years. I plan to build for myself to daily drive and considering the Toyota V6 if I can do it for reliability/parts with strong performance.

I tried reaching out to Hawk cars with no response. Are they still doing kits? How can I get more information (timing, pricing, etc.). Thanks!

Hi, yes, Hawk are still around and busier than ever! The best emails to contact them are Gerry@hawkcars.co.uk or hf@hawkcars.co.uk (that's me..).

Hawk are definitely not going the turnkey route like LB cars, the capacity just isn't there at our factory. The bad news is that there is about one years worth of customers who have paid deposits for a kit to get through and a further 2-3 years of customers waiting to pay a deposit to get on the list. If you email me at the hf address I'll happily send out the current price list but it's going to change in the coming years. Depending on how much of the build you have to farm out (engine builds/body prep/pait) you should budget around ?50,000 to put the car on the road in Stradale form and another ?5,000 if you go for any of the Group 4 body styles.

Having just completed 2500 miles around the Swiss Alps, many long days, one drive of 14hrs straight (bar the ferry) I can guarantee it will be worth the wait :).

I wonder if anyone was in the boot - just in case some of you have not seen Tim get in the boot and shut the lid - one less passenger fare to pay and one less passport to deal with at border crossings!
