Insurance Providers?

Who are our go to providers these days? My Footman James quote is up quite a lot on last year when all our other car policies have reduced (with other providers).

I would always use gocompare for pet insurance!

But for vehicles I generally use Howdens (A Plan), but you need to call the thatcham branch as they deal with specialist insurance. I was told I paid ?137 (+admin/legal etc), this is for laid up insurance.

My FJ price for an agreed ?100k valuation has gone up almost 33% from ?361 to ?478 on my renewal!

All our other car policies seems to have reduced a bit this year.

Oh and we have the Cat insured with Sainsburys Pet insurance, used to be Tesco but got very expensive.

I was speaking to howdens at Malvern the weekend and they did say that car insurance is coming down.

Unsure what I valued mine at, the state it is currently in not much!

Tried Howdens.

They won't do agreed value, won't cover it without a Cat 5 tracker and still want over ?750!

I’m insured with classicline ( Hinckley) for the past three years
370 me and one named driver
An agreed value of 90 k
I think it’s down to the postcode
crime and accidents in your area
but mine is only 2.5 L

My postcode isn't bad at all. Was with Classicline but they got expensive and moved to FJ. Might try them again.

Just checked our postcode. It a 'A' which is the lowest risk.

I suspect values might have some bearing on the premiums. My Midlana, arguably a similar performance to an average Strat, but significantly(!) lower value and rebuild costs was ?170 last year and this year. Fully comp etc

Pity me. I have a Bradford postcode, even though I live 40 minutes away!
