View Full Version : Super Clean Wheels!
Dragons Breath has been mentioned before on the Forum and that's why I bought some.
Just tried for the 1st time on our return from the Laon Classique after c1100 miles driving.
The results hopefully speak for themselves.
I have no connection to the supplier or manufacturer.

These 'reactive' wheel cleaners are indeed very very good.
I currently have some Autoglym Advanced stuff as I ran out of my go to stuff and it was all Halfords had that was decent.
My usual go to is Bilt Hamber Autowheel. Auto-Wheel - Bilt Hamber (https://bilthamber.com/product/auto-wheel/) All Bilt Hamber products are brilliant.
Have to say, after a recommendation on here I have been really impressed with Dragons Breath after years of generic wheel cleaners.
I've tried a couple of different brands of these wheel cleaners, Dragons Breath works the best. Usually gets all the gunk first time without even scrubbing, the others have needed a couple of applications and a bit of scrubbing with the wheel brush.

Hi
Be very careful with split rim wheels and some wheel cleaners as it can cause corrosion and leaks in the future.
Did a deep cleaning of the wheels last year, not a fun job!

Old wheel cleaners like Wonder Wheels were acid based and that would cause issues with corrosion. The modern stuff like Dragon's Breath, Autoglym and Bilt Hamber are all much kinder and tend to be pH balanced.

Post cleaning I'd suggest using a good touchless sealant to help keep them clean and make the next cleaning much easier. I use this one on my e-type chrome wires which used to get filthy after 50 miles and it really helps keep them clean and make them much easier to clean when I do. Just spray on and rinse off. Amazing stuff.

Thanks for that tip. It's obviously so good it's sold out!

Cheers!

I've used Dragons Breath fallout remover before and it is Really good but not on the Stratos. I coated my wheels with Revolve X ceramic coating and it is fantastic, probably best for wheels on the market. It makes cleaning so easy just a rub of a damp microfiber cloth and the wheels come up perfect, no elbow grease. If using Revolve X be careful it goes off real quick , split the application into 3-4 sections per wheel.240262402724028
Took a video on my phone but it won't upload it is MP4 format and I think this platform won't alow it . But literally a rub of a damp cloth took off all the brake dust which had been on just over a week.
