That purple LP400 / Countach is famous. It was/is Simon Kidstons car and has been featured in articles recently.

Think it's a different car. Different plate and it's a RHD.

Countach register tells me it's a Dec 1975 LP400.

Type: LP400
Chassis n?: 1120070
Motor n?: -
Prod n?: 35
Color: Bleu Notte
Interior color: Bianco
Consignment date: 02/12/1975
Destination: Gaue
Country: Malta
License plate: 75-LK-11002 (IRE)

Lamborghini Countach LP400 1120070 2nd RHD chassis number supplied new to Malta. 2nd of 22 RHD LP400 worldwide. Finished in blu with bianco/blu leather and unknown to most of us until auctioned by Bonhams in 2014, despite having been back in the UK since the 1990s.

There were only two purple LP400 Countach's made.
One owned by Simon and the other is in my workshop.
Its a great car and unfortunately the owner wants it back next week!

The car above is nice known example.

Think the one in my pic is blue.

The cars were outside Tom Hartley Jnr's place. Which implies it is up for sale.

LP400s are the only Countach I like.
High profile tyres and no arches, wings and other bodywork rubbish.

I guess it wouldn’t surprise you to hear I prefer the 25th Anniversary edition… in white, with red leather!! :)

Always liked those Z8s. 400bhp V8 in a very pretty body. Almost bought one relatively cheaply due to high mileage, and from a proper BMW dealer as well, but bottled it in the end. Of course the prices went crazy shortly thereafter, proving that maybe it's me that's the tool(station)...

Me too Chris, very clean and uncluttered stying. I’m a fan of the LP500 too.

Yes, I think that’s what sets it apart. Especially when you see it next to the later cars like the 25th anniversary model.

The Bond car in Golden eye was a fake made by Dax for BMW as the real car was not ready for the film.
So a good Kitcar reference.
