Not the best welding, but it will work well enough to run the engine without the turbo, fo rthe first mapping session
Wiring Harness for the engine is now complete & should be with me This week, then I can get on with the chassis connections....
One of the changes I made while the car was off the road was to tidy up under the front clam - the main reason for this was to make room to install an Anti Roll bar and to make space for a Water/MEOH tank. The water/MEOH tank & W.I. injection system wont be fitted unless it is the only way to keep the inlet temps down, but at least there is plenty of space for one. Changes.... two DC pumps replaced with one Stewart Components pumps. Battery removed, Anti Roll bar mounted, ...
So the engine build is complete & clutch/gearbox installed - all ready for when I get back from work next time. In the mean time the Wiring loom for the New ECU should be completed, so it will be straight to the dyno when I am back (hopefully)
As the tiitle, 11months after the head gasket blew at Blyton, I have finally got round to rebuilding the engine, New pistons fitted with Total seal rings, New gasket set, re used all bearings as they were like new, so no need to change.. Just the cams to install and its ready to go. Unfortunately I am back to work at the weekend, so it will have to wait until october for the Mapping.....## ...
