Does anybody out there have ideas on the origins of this steering wheel - it's a screen-grab of Waldegard at the wheel of his 1976 Safari Stratos.

Can't help with the wheel David but the boss looks a little deeper than the usual one so that may be a clue?
Guy
Hi Guy, yes could be a spacer boss to bring the wheel back. It's dished a bit too. Cheers for the input
David
It's a Ferrero David. Note the pcd size and bolt arrangement.
I've never, ever, seen one for sale.
There's a standard Lancia Montecarlo wheel (MOMO fitting, here) that looks similar, but it's not the right one, and it won't do for your car.
Thanks Chris, looks like we might have to make one
Base for modification?

Expensive start though....
Guy
That's a good find Guy, that would be a spot on steering wheel as it's almost a perfect match to this very well know car .

Get it retrimmed to match and I would have thought the long spoke trim would cover the two outer most holes leaving just the single inner hole visable.
It's a good start anyway, not sure how rare they are.
Vince.
Just found this photo as well:
