15" rear tyre change options
My 1st MOT is coming up and the TB's look a little suspect so time to change. It's a toss up between
another set up Michelin's or try the Pirelli's.
Any suggestions of the best source / price for the Pirelli's? Longstone appear to be the only place stocking the TB's.
Re: 15" rear tyre change options
Is it a gr4 set up with large wheels ?; if yes could you post what TB'sdimension you need and I will check there in France if any chance to get some discount price

Have you tried Mel on the forum?
He may have some left...
Re: 15" rear tyre change options
As much as I prefer the new Pirelli's grip levels compared to the Michelins, the Pirelli tread depth is ridiculously shallow, they don't appear to be far off being the legal minimum depth requirement new out of the box!
They are a phenomenal tyre but you'll probably get more life out of another set of TB's.
I haven't had a chance to push the new Pirelli's hard in the wet yet but the dry grip they offer sure makes them my number one choice in tyres.
Vince.
Re: 15" rear tyre change options
Performance tyres never have full depth tread as the tread block movement creates to much heat. toyo 888's have 4mm when new!
Re: 15" rear tyre change options
Pirelli make the tyres for competition cars that use that size, designed to last a few tarmac stages maybe, not designed for longevity.
Re: 15" rear tyre change options
How about these as an option? Good price if they actually have any in stock.
Re: 15" rear tyre change options
I agree, it would be great if they could offer the same tread pattern in a road going tyre.
