Side lights with fron clam open and IVA
The IVA man says front lights should be visible with front clam open.
Not easy with the lights adjacent to the indicators in the front recess.
The headlight units I have an auxiliary bulb.
Should I wire the motor relay and this auxiliary bulb to come on in the sidelight postion as the raised headlamp will still be visible from the front with the clamshell up.

Mine were in the headlights for IVA and passed. You could also ensure the clam has a limited opening angle? Needed when you fit the lower aux lighting.

If I remember correctly this is what we did on Micks first car and that passed. But I don't remember a requirement at that time for the lights to be visible with the clam open.

My side lights are in the headlights as well and just restrict the opening of the bonnet, they only need to be able to get to the brake fluid tanks and to have a look a round.

Hi,
I made up some temporary brackets that spaced the light forward to protrude outside the recess.
Passed (SVA) no problem.
